Anika's 7th bday

It's Anika's 7th birthday today. Time seems to fly so fast. I can still remember the day she was born and how happy I felt. Today thinking about how much she'd grown makes me think about how much time one should spend with his family. It's something you'll never regret and one day look back and will bring a smile to your face. Just like the smile it brings to me now thinking back of the past 7 years.
Happy birthday Anika! Daddy and mommy loves you so much.

Anika Lost Her First Tooth

On 09 March 2012, Anika lost her tooth while having dinner. Anika went to the washroom to clean her tooth. But she dropped it in the sink! She wailed so loud that her mom had to open the drain to retrieve the tooth. :)

Anika was so excited and when she went to sleep she kept her tooth under her pillow. She hoped the tooth fairy will take her tooth and give her money in return. The next morning she woke up at 5:30 AM and found a $10 bill under her pillow *WINK*. She was so happy and kept on jumping up and down. She didn't go back to sleep after.

The next day, Anika decided to have a party to celebrate. I glad I'm invited. :D

Party time!!!

Tips from Software Architects

From the book "97 Things Every Software Architect Should Know"

Mark Ramm - Chances Are Your Biggest Problem Isn't Technical
Most projects are built by people, and those people are the foundation for success and failure. So, it pays to think about what it takes to help make those people successful.

Learning to treat people with respect, and learning to give them the benefit of the doubt, is one of the core skills that turn a smart architect into an effective one.

Tips that can increase conversational effectiveness:
* Approach these events as conversations not confrontations
If you assume the best about people and treat this situation as an opportunity to ask questions,
you definitely learn more, and are less likely to put people on the defensive.

* Approach these conversations only after you've got your attitude right
Do not approach when you are angry, frustrated, annoyed, or flustered.
They may think you're on the attack.

* Use these as opportunities to set mutually agreed-upon goals
